Invest From the Ground Up – Community Tree Planting Program a Huge Success

What a Successful Planting Day! February 15th was our big day for the Invest From the Ground Up Community Tree Planting Program and it was a smashing success.  We had an amazing turnout with very few hiccups! We’re planting 1,250+ trees across California in single day!

Invest from the Ground Up will plant 1,264 trees on February 15, 2014 at 19 locations in the Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley! This event will focus on areas of high-need such as schools, sports fields, and community centers. The SF Bay region will plant 601 trees and the San Joaquin Valley will plant 663 trees. Did you hear? We’ve announced our community tree planting partners! They’ll be part of our large-scale tree planting project on February 15, 2014 spanning the SF Bay Area and the Southern San Joaquin Valley. Invest from the Ground Up has awarded 21 local organizations with trees, stakes and ties – in exchange, they’ll be holding volunteer tree planting events and will provide post planting care for 2 years.
