Can you name 50 trees?🌲🌲🌲 From The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library™, this well-detailed picture book provides a child’s guide to the basics of tree biology and identification in the whimsical, rhyming style of Dr. Seuss.

“With wildfires devastating California, many of us want to do something to help. Here at 3 Fish Studios, we’ve put together a bundle of some of our artwork, created to honor the spirit of the Golden State that we know and love - a place of beauty, kindness, and resilience.
Each Wildfire Relief Bundle contains an 8x10 archival digital print of our iconic “I Love You California” Poppy Bear, a set of note cards featuring our “From the Ashes” poppy image, and a postcard featuring our “Hero Bear”, honoring the brave men and women on the front line of these fires.

The bundle costs $35, and 100% of the money raised will be donated to help relief efforts in California. Food banks, temporary shelters, and other community services will benefit directly from these funds. Last year we raised $100,000. Can we do it again this year?” - @3fishstudios

Great piece to read this #VeteransDay from Philly.com Health & Science with insight from Richard Louv on how #nature can be a powerful and needed healing force for #veterans.

Last fall, Carl "Steve" Clendenning says he was salvaged on the #AppalachianTrail 65 years later, after the war in Iraq tore him up and left him a rusting Marine trying to find his way back to normal in the United States. "I found what I needed in nature. It's amazing, and it's just hard to describe what it truly does for you."

Clendenning joined about 50 veterans and their family members who came together in PA's Schuylkill County. The gathering was hosted by Cindy Ross (a frequent C&NN blogger) and her husband, Todd Gladfelter, a couple who've spent most of their lives among the trees under sun and stars, trading baby strollers for llamas as they hiked their children across the country.
