If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million!

Since the Fall of 2012 we’ve been sharing with you the many benefits of trees and why we, as Californians, must provide our trees with the care they need to survive and thrive. Now, through our Invest From The Ground Up: Community Tree Success video, we’re showing the impact trees have on our lives through three unique and compelling stories.

This video travels across California and showcases the stories of everyday people who share in their own words how trees improve their lives, communities and economic well-being.

We feature:

Jay Jimenez, a small business owner in Bishop, California who is the owner of an amazing 120 year old sycamore tree that provides shade and protection for his customers. In Jay’s own words is “[the tree] is the heart of the business and the reason I am still in business.”

Carol Bills, a resident of Huntington Beach, California,
who shares how the newly renovated Butterfly Park has been hugely positive in her life and health. Carol says, “I can’t imagine living without trees, it would be a cold, hard landscape.”

Jennifer Madden and Jeff Reed, who are homeowners in Albany, California
. Trees transformed their neighborhood to one of the most beautiful blocks in the city. Jeff says, “[Planting trees] felt like the beginning of the neighborhood we have now.”
