We are happy to announce Round Two of tree planting projects as part of the 2014 Invest From the Ground Up – Community Tree Planting Program:
- Urban Biofilter and East Bay Regional Parks District:
- De Valle Regional Park – 30 trees planted on the existing park grounds on April 16th and 17th
- Redwood Park – 50 trees planted in several locations throughout the park on April 24th
- MLK Regional Park – 50 trees planted in several locations throughout the park on April 26th
- Oyster Bay Regional Park – 10 trees planted on the hillside of the park on April 26th
- El Cerrito High School – 25 trees planted in the school’s Community Memorial Garden on April 26th
- West Oakland Greening Initiative – 100 trees planted in Raimondi Park and surroundings in May and June
- City Plants (formerly Million Trees LA)
- 100 trees planted on Broadway in South LA on April 26th
- 110 trees planted in Wilmington neighborhood on June 7th
- Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve – 30 trees planted on the Preserve on May 3rd
- City of Santee – 19 trees planted at Town Center Community Park on May 10th
- City of Escondido – 25 trees planted in Old Escondido Historic Neighborhood in July
